UK Invests in Valneva Facility for COVID-19 Vaccine Production

The UK government has entered into an investment deal with French vaccine-maker Valneva to upgrade its manufacturing facility in Scotland.

The investment is part of the UK’s agreement with the company for 60 million doses of its COVID-19 vaccine. The terms of the new deal were not disclosed.

The expanded facility could supply up to 100 million vaccine doses, more than enough to vaccinate the entire UK population of 67 million.
