Siemens Healthineers’ Bedside CT Head Scan System Cleared

The FDA has granted 510(k) clearance for Siemens Healthineers’ SOMATOM On.site, a mobile head computed tomography (CT) scanner.

The mobile scanner allows intensive care unit patients to remain in bed while the device performs a CT head scan.

The system features attachable radiation shields and it includes accessories to help position patients correctly for scanning.
