Bayer’s Lampit Approved for Chagas Disease in Children

The FDA has granted accelerated approval to Bayer’s Lampit (nifurtimox) for the treatment of Chagas disease in pediatric patients under 18 years old.

Chagas disease is a common tropical parasitic infection that can cause congestive heart failure if left untreated.

Lampit is currently approved in several Latin American countries for treating the disease in adults and children.
