Deep Blue Medical’s Hernia Mesh Cleared

North Carolina-based Deep Blue Medical Advances has been granted 510(k) clearance by the FDA for its T-Lin hernia surgical mesh.

The mesh includes suture extensions that offer 15 times more surface area than traditional sutures, increasing fixation strength by spreading the force over a larger area, the company said.

The product is expected to launch in selected U.S. sites in the third quarter.
