Investors Urge Drugmakers to Ensure Access to COVID-19 Treatments, Vaccines

August 13, 2020

In a letter to 17 major drugmakers, the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility — an association whose members include faith communities, asset managers, unions, pensions and investor groups — called on the companies to set affordable prices for COVID-19 vaccines and treatments, and to share technology to scale up manufacturing to ensure widespread access to their products.

The letter was sent to AbbVie, Amgen, AstraZeneca, Biogen, Bristol Myers Squibb, Gilead Sciences, GlaxoSmithKline, Eli Lilly, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Moderna, Pfizer, Novartis, Regeneron, Roche, Sanofi and Vertex Pharmaceuticals.
