Siemens Healthineers’ MRI Software Cleared

Siemens Healthineers has received the FDA’s 510(k) clearance for two artificial intelligence-based magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) software products.

The AI-Rad Companion Brain MR software measures volumetric changes in the brain, and the AI-Rad Companion Prostate MR software segments the prostate and marks its outer contour.

The software programs can be used with the company’s own MRI scanners or with those of other manufacturers.
