Medical Precision Gets CE Mark for Patient Marking System

The Netherlands-based Medical Precision, exclusively distributed worldwide by CIVCO Radiotherapy, has received a CE mark in Europe for its Comfort Marker 2.0, a device that applies patient reference points for use in radiotherapy.

The device applies the temporary reference points on a patient’s skin by injecting a pigment. The points fade over time and can be removed in a simple laser procedure.

The system has not yet been cleared for use in the U.S.
