SyntheticMR Receives Japanese Approval for MRI Software

September 8, 2020

Japan’s Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency has approved SyntheticMR’s SyMRI software that delivers magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) sequences of the brain within minutes.

SyMRI provides multiple-contrast images and quantitative information about the patient to help users in their treatment decisions.

The software delivers the most common MRI sequences, but also provides less-common sequences, such as Phase Sensitive Inversion Recovery (PSIR), which have shown strong potential in detecting brain lesions. PSIR corrects images for the positive and negative polarity of the tissues being scanned.
