EuroBio Scientific Earns CE Mark for COVID-19/Flu/RSV Test

EuroBio Scientific has earned a CE mark certification for its EBX 042 FluCoSyn test, a diagnostic that can detect SARS-CoV-2, influenza A and B, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) — and distinguish between COVID-19 patients and flu patients.

The real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay provides results in about an hour and 15 minutes, and it can be run on portable equipment.

The test can be used for initial diagnosis or for confirming the results of rapid tests with lower performance, such as antigenic tests, EuroBio said.
