Cytek Biosciences’ Flow Cytometer Receives CE Mark

California-based Cytek Biosciences has received a CE mark for its Northern Lights flow cytometer, an in vitro diagnostic used to measure the properties of cells or particles suspended in a fluid.

The cytometer uses lasers to identify cells based on their light-scatter and fluorescence properties. It is available in multiple configurations with up to three lasers for highly sensitive measurements.

“With multiple configurations available, Cytek Northern Lights sits in a sweet spot for scientists that have budgeted for a one- to three-laser system but desire the ability to run panels of higher complexity,” the company said.
