PharmaJet’s Needleless Injection System Being Used in COVID-19 Vaccine Trial

October 8, 2020

PharmaJet has announced that its Stratis needle-free injection system will be used for vaccine delivery in a COVID-19 vaccine candidate trial.

The phase 1 trial in Australia will evaluate COVIGEN, a DNA-based vaccine developed by French-Thai drugmaker BioNet and Melbourne biotech Technovalia. The trial will enroll 150 healthy participants.

The system was chosen for the study “due to its record of increasing the efficacy of DNA vaccines and the speed of the delivery system compared to traditional needle and syringe,” the company said.

Stratis has received 510(k) marketing clearance from the FDA as well as the CE mark.
