CurveBeam’s CT Imaging System Gets CE Mark

CurveBeam has received CE mark certification for HiRise, a weight-bearing computed tomography (CT) system for the lower extremities.

The system, which can scan anywhere along the lower extremity from the hip and pelvis to the feet, allows patients to stand naturally on both feet during a CT scan. It requires minimal patient radiation shielding and is designed for ease of use.

“Physiological assessment of the bones and joints has obvious advantages, but getting this data via multiplanar imaging enables accurate road maps for effective surgical planning,” said Sajid Butt, a consultant radiologist at the UK’s Royal National Orthopedic Hospital-Stanmore.
