Thermo Fisher Building Singapore Facility to Boost Manufacturing

October 16, 2020

Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced that it will build a $130 million plant in Singapore to expand its manufacturing capabilities in the region for new therapeutics and vaccines.

The new facility will increase sterile-filling capacity and enable faster response during the COVID-19 pandemic and in future health crises, the company said.

The Waltham, Mass., drugmaker says the new facility, which will be able to manufacture up to 30 million sterile doses a month, will be up and running in 2022.
