See-Mode Technologies Gets FDA Clearance for Vascular Ultrasound-Scan Software

The FDA has granted See-Mode Technologies 510(k) clearance for Augmented Vascular Analysis (AVA), artificial intelligence-based software that automatically analyzes and reports vascular ultrasound scans.

The automated software uses deep learning, text recognition and signal processing to help clinicians interpret vascular ultrasound studies used to assess blood circulation in a patient’s arms and legs.

AVA is able to quickly analyze a full vascular ultrasound scan, minimizing the need for manual drawings and producing vascular reports in under a minute.
