Aidoc Earns FDA Clearance for Pulmonary Embolism Triage Algorithm

October 23, 2020

Aidoc, an Israeli company that develops computer-aided triage systems, has received 510(k) marketing clearance from the FDA for its pulmonary embolism triage algorithm.

The artificial intelligence technology offers increased efficiency in identifying critical patients by constantly monitoring for pulmonary embolisms.

The company said it is working to obtain reimbursement from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for medical centers that use the software. CMS recently approved reimbursement for the first computer-assisted triage for suspected stroke patients.
