PerkinElmer Grabs CE Mark for Respiratory Virus Multipanel

PerkinElmer’s PKamp respiratory SARS-CoV-2 reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test has received a CE mark certification.

The diagnostic can detect and differentiate between SARS-CoV-2, influenza A and B, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) using a single test.

The PKamp test uses a single nasopharyngeal, oropharyngeal or nasal swab sample and is used along with the company’s automated viral nucleic extractor to detect small amounts of viral material.
