C4 Imaging’s Nonmetallic MRI Marker Cleared

October 28, 2020

The FDA has granted C4 Imaging 510(k) marketing clearance for its Multimodality C4 Fiducial Marker, an implantable magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) marker.

The nonmetallic device is implanted in patients to mark a specific area for planned medical procedures to help ensure that radiation is focused on the marked area.

The marker can be visualized, using MRI, computed tomography scans or X-rays, to create a reference point that can be used to guide treatments for cancer and other conditions that are treated with radiation.
