California Stroke Treatment Developer Selects Daniel Davis as New President

November 2, 2020

Stroke treatment developer Imperative Care of Campbell, Calif., has named Daniel Davis as its new president.

Davis, who joined the company this year as chief operating officer, previously served as chief commercial officer and president for North America at Penumbra, where he led the launch of the first FDA-cleared aspiration system for neurovascular mechanical thrombectomy.

In his new role, he will manage the growth of Imperative Care’s portfolio of neurovascular devices for treating ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke.

Imperative Care was co-founded in 2016 by Nick Hopkins — a pioneer of endovascular neurointervention and founder and chief scientific officer of Jacobs Institute — and by medtech entrepreneur Fred Khosravi.
