Stryker’s $4 Billion Acquisition of Wright Medical is Ready to Go

Stryker announced that it has fulfilled all the regulatory requirements for its $4 billion acquisition of Wright Medical, a leading global developer of orthopedic products for the upper and lower extremities.

Stryker said it expects to finalize the deal on Nov. 10. The Federal Trade Commission has given its blessing if Stryker unloads certain assets to Maryland-based Colfax, a technology company that produces a wide range of products, including medical devices.  

“This acquisition enhances our global market position in trauma and extremities, providing significant opportunities to advance innovation, improve outcomes and reach more patients,” said Stryker Chairman and CEO Kevin Lobo.
