PerkinElmer Subsidiary Grabs CE Mark for COVID-19 ELISA Test

EUROIMMUN has been granted CE mark certification for its SARS-CoV-2 QuantiVac enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), a quantitative antibody test for COVID-19.

The ELISA test kit is able to detect IgG antibodies to help identify patients who have been exposed to the coronavirus.

The assay could be used for “accurate evaluation of antibody status before and after infection, in antibody therapies or in vaccination programs,” said EUROIMMUN CEO Wolfgang Schlumberger.
