GE Healthcare Nabs FDA Clearance for MRI Scanner

The FDA has issued 510(k) marketing clearance for GE Healthcare’s Signa 7.0T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner.

The high-resolution scanner provides sharp detail of the anatomy and microvasculature in the brain and joints and can be used for both research and clinical purposes.

The Signa 7.0T uses a 7.0-tesla magnet that can reveal abnormalities which aren't detected using MRI scanners with lower magnet strengths.
