Rapid Medical’s Mesh Device Obtains CE Mark for Treating Cerebral Vasospasm

Rapid Medical has obtained additional CE mark certification for its Comaneci mesh device, allowing it to be used for treating cerebral vasospasms.

Cerebral vasospasms are complications that occur when a blood vessel in the brain narrows, leading to the blockage of blood flow. They can happen in the two weeks after a brain aneurysm or subarachnoid hemorrhage and can cause serious neurological damage.

The adjustable mesh device can be sequentially expanded, allowing its applied force to be gradually increased while the blood vessel is monitored.
