Canada Clears Caretaker’s Vital Signs Monitor for COVID-19 Patients

Health Canada has granted emergency clearance for Caretaker Medical’s wearable vital signs monitor, allowing it to be used for quarantined COVID-19 patients.

The FDA-cleared and CE-marked device continuously monitors blood pressure, heart rate, respiration rate and other vital signs using a wireless finger sensor that sends the data to a remote tablet app.

The clearance allows the device to be used for monitoring quarantined patients, enabling the distanced monitoring of contagious COVID-19 patients.
