Mike Coyle Leaving Medtronic to Lead iRhythm

Cardiac monitor developer iRhythm has named Medtronic executive Mike Coyle as its new president and CEO, effective Jan. 12.

Coyle is joining the San Francisco company following more than a decade with Medtronic, where he served as the medical device giant’s executive vice president and group president of its cardiovascular group.

Kevin King, iRhythm’s current president and CEO, will stay on with the company as a board member and serve in an advisory role.

iRhythm markets Zio, a wearable electrocardiogram monitor that analyzes heart data and produces a report for doctors.
