Callaly’s Improved Tampon Product Cleared

UK-based Callaly has been given FDA 510(k) marketing clearance for Tampliner, an improved tampon made with organic and bio-compatible materials.

The innovative device, which is on TIME magazine’s list of the world’s 100 best inventions in 2020, combines a tampon and a liner and wraps itself as it is removed, leaving it ready for disposal.

Callaly plans to launch the product in the U.S. in summer 2021. It is already available in several European countries.
