GNA Biosolutions Earns German Approval for Rapid COVID-19 Test

GNA Biosolutions has received emergency approval from Germany’s Federal Institute for Drugs and Devices for its GNA Octea SARS-CoV-2 rapid test.

The diagnostic comes with a portable analyzer and test kit that is capable of delivering results in approximately 40 minutes using oropharyngeal smears.

The rapid test can be used in decentralized mobile and tent laboratories, as test samples do not need to be transported to a central laboratory, the company said.
