Recipharm to Assist in the Production of Moderna’s Vaccine

Swedish contract manufacturer Recipharm has entered into an agreement to manufacture Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine, mRNA-1273, at its facility in France for markets outside the U.S.

Recipharm said it will both produce and fill-finish the Moderna vaccine, which has been authorized for emergency use in the U.S. and will likely see European clearance soon.

“Our preparations are already well under way with the hiring of new staff and investment in the facility to enable us to meet the challenging timelines,” said Recipharm CEO Thomas Eldered.
