Recipharm to Assist in the Production of Moderna’s Vaccine

Swedish contract manufacturer Recipharm has entered into an agreement to manufacture Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine, mRNA-1273, for markets outside of the U.S. at its facility in France.

Recipharm said it will both produce and fill-finish the Moderna vaccine, which has been authorized in the U.S. and will likely see European clearance soon.

“Our preparations are already well underway with the hiring of new staff and investment in the facility to enable us to meet the challenging timelines,” said Recipharm CEO Thomas Eldered.
