Kent Imaging Gets FDA OK for Upgraded Wound Assessment System
January 8, 2021
Kent Imaging has received the FDA’s 510(k) marketing clearance for SnapshotNIR 3.0, a tissue oxygenation imaging system designed to support wound care and surgery.
The noninvasive device assesses the availability of oxygenated blood in imaged tissue, helping to inform decisionmaking for wound and surgical care. The system doesn’t require patient contact or the injection of imaging dyes.
The upgraded SnapshotNIR 3.0 offers a number of new features, including enhanced patient file management, report generation with image comparisons, and linear and surface area wound measurements, Kent said.
