Bharat Biotech Inks Brazilian Supply Deal for COVID-19 Vaccine

Bharat Biotech has signed an agreement with the Brazilian company Precisa Medicamentos to supply 12 million doses of its India-developed COVID-19 vaccine Covaxin to Brazil.

Under the agreement in principle, the Brazilian government will be the initial customer and additional supplies to the private market will depend on authorization from Brazil’s regulatory authority, Bharat said.

Covaxin, which is currently in phase 3 trials, received an emergency approval in India last week.
