ChoiceSpine Gets Additional 510(k) Clearance for Cervical Spacer System

January 27, 2021

Knoxville, Tenn.-based spinal device manufacturer ChoiceSpine has received an additional 510(k) marketing clearance for its Tiger Shark Cervical Spacer System, allowing an extended line of spacer sizes for use in spinal surgeries for patients with degenerative disc disease.

The 3-D printed implants are made of titanium alloy that is shaped to align with the patient’s vertebrae and they have a rough surface that promotes bone ingrowth.

The newly cleared implant sizes now enable the Tiger Shark system to treat patients with larger vertebral body endplates.
