Altior Trauma’s Hip Fracture System Earns FDA Clearance

Altior Trauma has been handed 510(k) clearance for its Artemis Proximal Femoral Nail System, an implant used to treat hip fractures.

The femoral nail combines titanium with a carbon fiber reinforced polyetheretherketone (CF PEEK) radiolucent polymer, which enables greater visualization of bone and the promotion of fracture healing.

The system comes with streamlined surgical instruments that are designed to simplify the implantation process.
