PerkinElmer’s Rapid Point-of-Care COVID-19 Test Cleared in Europe

PerkinElmer has earned CE mark certification for its rapid COVID-19 Antigen Test, a test that uses nasal or nasopharyngeal swab samples to detect infection.

The immunoassay test provides a positive or negative result in as few as 15 minutes that can be used to quickly inform isolation and treatment decisions.

The diagnostic is designed for professional use as a point-of-care test in clinical and non-clinical settings, including healthcare centers, travel hubs, educational institutions and businesses, PerkinElmer said.
