Medtronic Hiring Walmart’s Supply Chain Executive

Medtronic CEO Geoff Martha announced that the devicemaker is hiring Walmart’s executive vice president of U.S. supply chain, Greg Smith, to manage its supply chain and global operations.

Smith will come on board April 5 as Medtronic’s new executive vice president of global operations and supply chain. He will continue in his leadership role for Walmart’s massive and complex supply chain until then.

Prior to joining Walmart, Smith was Goodyear’s senior vice president of global operations, handling 52 manufacturing facilities across four business units.
