Dr. Reddy’s Issues Recall for Bottles of Lipitor Generic Due to Impurities

Dr. Reddy’s has initiated a large recall of its Lipitor (atorvastatin calcium) generic tablets in the U.S. after impurities were found in the products.

The Class III recall, which indicates that use of the impacted products is not likely to harm patients, includes nearly a quarter-million bottles of tablets.

The affected products were manufactured at a Dr. Reddy’s facility in Andhra Pradesh, India.
