Fujifilm Earns CE Mark for Rapid COVID-19 Test

Fujifilm has received CE mark certification for its rapid SARS-CoV-2 antigen test that can be used to quickly detect the virus at an early stage.

The test uses nasopharyngeal swab samples to deliver results in 10 to 13 minutes without the need for a separate test reader. The rapid test can be used in both community and clinical settings.

The company said that the antigen test can successfully detect the presence of the virus even in patients who exhibit low viral loads at disease onset.
