XPhyto Therapeutics’ COVID-19 Test Cleared in Europe

XPhyto Therapeutics has obtained CE mark certification for its point-of-care SARS-CoV-2 reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test, Covid-ID Lab.

The test, which requires minimal laboratory equipment, returns results in 25 minutes and can be run on many widely available PCR systems. It does not require RNA extraction for sample preparation and displays results on easy-to-read optical-indicator strips.

The test is designed for use in point-of-care locations, such as airports, border checkpoints, schools, pharmacies and hospitals.
