MicrosensDx Receives CE Mark for Coronavirus Test

MicrosensDx has earned CE mark certification for its RapiPro LAMP SARS-CoV-2 test, a diagnostic that can be used in point-of-care settings or laboratories.

The test uses nasal swab samples to detect the presence of SARS-CoV-2 in patients in under 30 minutes and can be used with either the OptiGene Genie II, III and Genie HT platforms or other authorized nucleic acid extraction systems. The test extracts RNA from the sample using a patented magnetic-bead technology, eliminating the need for organic solvents, isopropanol, ethanol or centrifuging.

RapiPro can be also be used to detect other pathogens, including norovirus, respiratory syncytial virus and influenza.
