Motus GI Files for FDA 510(k) for Gastroscope-Compatible Endoscopy System

Motus GI has submitted a 510(k) application to the FDA for a new version of its Pure-Vu System that is compatible with gastroscopes used in upper gastrointestinal endoscopy procedures.

The new version of the device removes debris, blood and blot clots in the upper gastrointestinal tract so that endoscopists can get a clear view during gastroscopy procedures.

The company’s earlier version of the Pure-Vu System was previously cleared by the FDA for cleaning poorly prepared colons during colonoscopy procedures.
