GreenMark Biomedical’s Cavity Visualization Rinse Receives FDA Clearance

GreenMark Biomedical has been granted 510(k) clearance for its LumiCare Caries Detection Rinse for enhancing the visualization of tooth cavities.

The rinse improves the visualization of cavities and pre-cavities by highlighting sub-surface porosities in enamel, helping dentists to act on cavities and potential cavities earlier.

Classified as a medical device, the visualization rinse uses bioresorbable starch-based nanoparticles that degrade in response to enzymes in saliva by the time the patient’s dental visit is over.
