Empatica Receives European Clearance for Physiological Signal Watch

Empatica’s EmbracePlus has obtained CE mark certification, clearing the wearable watch in Europe for the remote collection and processing of physiological signals from the wrist.

The smartwatch collects several signals from the patient, including pulse rate, pulse rate variability, blood oxygenation, respiratory rate, skin temperature, electrodermal activity, rest and activity data.

The device continuously transmits the gathered data to a smartphone app that sends it to the cloud for assessment by clinical researchers and healthcare professionals. The data can be streamed simultaneously from thousands of devices using Empatica’s software as well as third-party applications.
