Empowered Diagnostics Earns CE Mark for Rapid COVID-19 Antigen Test

Pompano Beach, Fla.-based Empowered Diagnostics has been granted CE mark certification for CovClear, a rapid COVID-19 antigen test.

The lower-cavity nasal swab test is able to detect an active COVID-19 infection in patients within approximately two days of exposure to the virus, enabling detection before a person becomes contagious.

Designed for use at home, the CovClear test delivers results in minutes. Empowered projects being able to manufacture 20 million tests per month and expects to receive the FDA’s Emergency Use Authorization in the coming weeks.
