Quidel Partners with McKesson to Distribute At-Home COVID-19 Test

Quidel has signed an agreement with distribution giant McKesson to sell and distribute its QuickVue at-home COVID-19 test in the U.S.

McKesson will now help support the diagnostics maker’s efforts to commercialize and distribute the over-the-counter coronavirus test, a 10-minute test that received Emergency Use Authorization from the FDA last month.

McKesson will make the product available to more than 5,000 independent pharmacies, multiple retailers and through e-commerce sites, including Amazon, eBay and Simply Medical. Shipments are expected to begin this week.
