bioMérieux Earns CE Mark for COVID-19 Antibody Serology Test

bioMérieux has been granted CE mark certification for its Vidas SARS-CoV-2 IgG II serology test, an assay that can detect anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibodies in the blood.

The test, which provides a semi-quantitative assessment of the level of IgG antibodies present in a blood sample, can help gauge the level of antibody response in a patient after they are vaccinated or infected with the virus.

The assay can be run by hospital and laboratory staff on the company’s Mini Vidas, Vidas and Vidas 3 immunoassay analyzers.
