Labcorp to Purchase Myriad Autoimmune’s Rheumatoid Arthritis Assay

Labcorp has announced that it will acquire Myriad Genetics’ Vectra rheumatoid arthritis assay, a blood test that measures the severity of the disease.

The test assesses 12 biomarkers to generate a simple score, indicating the level of rheumatoid arthritis inflammation and the effectiveness of treatments. It can also predict the potential for future joint damage.

Labcorp said that the transaction is expected to be finalized in the third quarter, but did not release financial details.
