Promaxo Hires New VP for Clinical Research

Oakland, Calif.-based magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system developer Promaxo has named Srirama Venkataraman as its vice president of clinical research for MRI applications.

Venkataraman brings more than two decades of experience, including with Philips, Stryker, the Mayo Clinic and the Fox Chase Cancer Center.

Promaxo recently received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for its office-based MRI platform, a device that can be easily set up in office settings without the need for shielding or facility upgrades.
