PAVmed Earns CE Mark for Carpal Tunnel Device

PAVmed has been granted CE mark certification for CarpX, a disposable minimally invasive balloon-catheter device designed to treat carpal tunnel syndrome.

The single-use device reduces patient recovery time, mimicking invasive carpal tunnel surgery in a less-invasive way using catheters, balloons, radiofrequency energy and other tools.

The balloon catheter is inserted under the scarred ligament and pushes the nerve and tendons away. When activated, it precisely cuts the ligament from the inside out.
