HD Medical Names New Chief Medical Officer

Santa Clara, Calif.-based HD Medical, a devicemaker focused on digital health solutions for detecting cardiovascular disease, has appointed Shaun Setty as its new chief medical officer.

Setty brings more than 13 years of experience in pediatric and adult congenital cardiac surgery, and he is board certified in surgery, thoracic surgery and congenital heart surgery.

During his time as an adviser to the company, Setty played a pivotal role in the launch of its flagship device, the HD Steth, an intelligent stethoscope that features electrocardiogram and phonocardiogram capabilities.
