Subtle Medical Receives CE Mark for New PET Image Enhancement Software

The second generation of Subtle Medical’s positron emission tomography (PET) image enhancement software, SubtlePET, has been granted CE mark certification.

The software reduces noise in images obtained from low-count PET image scans up to four times faster than the original scan time, helping centers to accelerate patient care and improve patient comfort during PET exams. After receiving images from the scanner, SubtlePET processes them within seconds.

The technology is compatible with all scanner brands and models, and may help reduce the need for rescans, the company said.
