Latest Version of iCAD’s Breast Imaging Software Gets CE Mark

Nashua, N.H.-based iCAD has received CE mark certification for version 3.0 of its ProFound artificial intelligence software for use in digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT).

The software helps radiologists detect breast cancer or its absence in the DBT images.

A recent study of the software showed that it helped radiologists identify “up to 58.6 percent of normal cases, with no false negatives,” the company said.
